Gary Sinagra. In 2016, Gary retired and passed down the Legendary Pizzeria to veterans of the Chicago pizza scene Pasquale and Giovanna Di Diana.
Pasquale started working in his family’s pizza business when he was 13 years old. He comes from a big pizza family that owns 20 different stores in the Chicagoland area and has been involved with the opening of more than a dozen stores. He also is a current speaker at the International Pizza Expo where he shares his expertise and lifelong stories about the pizza business. Pasquale and his wife Giovanna, opened their first store in 2010.
Giovanna is a life long resident who grew up loving Uncle Pete’s Pizza. When the opportunity arose, the couple quickly jumped on the opportunity to own what they believed was the best pizza around. The recipe for the pizza at Uncle Pete’s is the original 1947 recipe that “Uncle Pete” spent his whole life crafting. Every single ingredient is premium, no corners cut. You will taste it in every bite.
Along with takeout and delivery, Uncle Pete’s also offers catering and staffed events up to 500 people. They have catered breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and special events for some of Chicago’s top companies such as Boeing, Coyote Logistics, Groupon, Jump Trading, Porter Pipe, Chicago Board of Trade, IKEA, and many, many more.
